Welcome to Carlingford

In the northeast of Irleand you will find the town of Carlingford on the Cooley Peninsula, between the waters of Carlingford Lough and the mountain of Slieve Foye. When the Vikings invaded Ireland in the 9th Century we are told that they occupied Carlingford Lough. Why the very name Carlingford is Scandinavian meaning ‘Fjord of Carlinn’. Carlingford has endured the rule of Kings, Military Invasions, Medieval War and Prosperity.
So come and join us as we travel back in time, for who knows there may still be some Vikings that remain.

This intimate Festival is held at Central Missouri Renaissance Festival, just east of Columbia, MO off I-70. The festival embraces the culture and times of the Renaissance through games, live entertainment, and a thriving marketplace of artisans. The land is host to multiple stages as well as a grass arena for live steel and blunted weapon fighting. The gates of the Festival are open from 10am to 6pm.

Festival patrons can leave their cares behind and be entertained by musicians, dancers and comedy shows, shop for wonderful arts and crafts, participate in games, and enjoy feasting on exotic food and drink. Cheer for dashing knights as they battle to win their lady's honor or join the Pirates as they steal the show.

Welcome to Carlingford
